This is one of the first things new clients ask me, and it's worth answering properly instead of just pushing whichever one I feel like selling that day.
A personal boxing trainer, if...
You want every single minute of the session focused on you. As a personal boxing coach, I'm watching your guard, your footwork, your power generation, the whole time, and adjusting in real time based on what I see. If you're working toward a specific goal, recovering from an old habit that needs unlearning, or just prefer training without an audience, a personal trainer setup is going to get you there faster. It's also the better fit if your schedule doesn't line up with fixed class times.
Group boxing classes, if...
You thrive on energy and other people pushing you. My group classes run Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings, and there's a completely different feel in the room, people at different levels all working hard together, music going, everyone feeding off each other's effort. It's also the more affordable way to build a regular boxing habit if you're not chasing highly specific technical goals yet.
The honest answer most people land on
A lot of my clients actually do both, a personal session every week or two for technique work, plus group classes for volume, conditioning, and consistency. Neither option is the "lesser" choice, they solve different problems, and you're allowed to use both.
If you're not sure which one fits, message me directly and tell me what you're actually trying to achieve, I'll tell you straight which format makes sense, not just whichever I've got space for.
